BROODY HENS (Silkie cross Light Sussex).

Available at certain times of year, £15.00 each. These hens are prone to being broody and make particularly good mothers, with the ability to to sit hatching eggs and raise young efficiently.

HYBRIDS

(All our hybrids are fully vaccinated and only available at point of lay- as and when stock is available)

SPECKLEDY £12.00

A docile, hardybird, developed from the maran. Lays good brown eggs and is ideal for both free range and barn egg production. Grey and dark grey cuckoo pattern, similar to the maran.

BLACK ROCK £12.00

A Bard Rock cross, very similar in character to the speckledy. Attractive and hardy, ideal for both free range and barn egg production. Largely black in colour with a brown neck and breast.

WARREN £9.00

A Rhode Island Red cross, hardy and highly adaptable to any egg production. Responsible for a large number of eggs annually. Mainly brown in colour, with varying white areas.

BLUBELLE £12.00

A Maran/Rhode Island Red cross, an attractive coloured bird, with docile nature. Good egg layer.

DAISYBELLE £12.00

Based on the Silver Sussex colour,but with Rhode Island Red characteristics. Ideal for both free range and barn egg production.

WHITESTAR £12.00

Exceptionally good layer, based on the White Leghorn, and a layer of pure white eggs. A little on the flighty side.

SUSSEXSTAR £12.00

A hybrid version of the pure Light Sussex. A good layer of tinted coloured eggs. Ideal for free range and barn egg production.

AMBERS £12.00

Good layers of a brown egg. Cream in colour, docile and friendly.

Due to the difficulties in sexing Guinea Fowl, they are sold as unsexed. Occasionally there will be older sexed birds available.

A large bird known and kept for its beauty. The male has a particularly impressive display. The price belowis for birds up to one year old.

DRINKERS AND FEEDER

A wide range ofpoultry feeders and drinkers are available to buy on site (both plastic and galvanised varieties). Also in stock , poultry feeds(layers pellets, layers mash, poultry growers etc), plus bales of dry wood shavings, hay and straw, grit, tonics, poultry health products.

POULTRY HOUSING

We stock a selection of poultry housing which is on site to view and made to order. Also available is rabbit/guinea pig hutches and dog kennels.
